If you’re fed up of feeling a down in the dumps & you’re not sure why, try these clever tips to get you feeling fabulous again. I particularly Love number 3 😉

 

Research has shown, an imbalance in serotonin levels can greatly affect mood. Increasing these levels is a win win when it comes to improving how you feel.

1, Get your B vitamin levels checked out at the doctors. If B6 and B12 are low it can have a real effect on your mood.

2, 5-HTP is another great one known to benefit anxiety & depression, magnesium compliments it if you’re after a good nights sleep too. Always check with a health practitioner or your doctor that it is safe for you to take supplements, especially if you are on other medication.

3, Here’s my favourite!… Massage! Treat your self to a well deserved pamper, there are lots of lovely endorphins released  when you get massaged. You’ll also benefit from reduced cortisol levels ( the stress hormone) the benefit here is, your serotonin levels are able to reach much higher levels when not being blocked by this bad boy.

4, Meditation is another great way to boost your serotonin levels in the brain, it brings the mind down to a beautifully relaxed state. Again meditation reduces the cortisol production. even 5-10 minutes away gives an instant boost to how your feeling.
